Spalding Town Carillon
The 23 bells of Spalding Carillon hang in a handsome glass-encased bell tower on the front of The South Holland Centre – Spalding’s civic entertainment complex, which overlooks the busy Tuesday and Saturday market place – so their sound is very direct to the stall-holders and shoppers! The Carillon is played via a piano-type keyboard and recitals often take place on Saturdays at 11:30.
Bells: 23
Construction: Bells purchased in 1923; carillon constructed in early 1930s; restoration in 1974 and 1998.
